Create Custom Surveys for Onboarding, Email Campaigns & Event Feedback


In Televeda Admin, the Survey tool enables you to create custom surveys and share them via email, SMS, social media, or any other shareable link.


  1. In the Admin Dashboard (live.televeda.com/admin), open Outreach › Surveys.
  2. Select Create.


If Surveys isn’t visible, your account lacks survey access. Please get in touch with Televeda Support to enable it.

  1. Choose where to render the survey: Email for campaigns, Onboarding for new-user surveys, or Feedback for post-event reviews.

  1. Select at least one community—if you manage several, pick every community that should have access. The survey link will be visible only to members of the communities you select.

  1. To create a feedback survey, set the survey type to Feedback..
  2. Select each event that should display this survey; attendees will receive it instead of Televeda’s default post-event survey.


Please note that custom feedback surveys are currently not supported for VTC events.

  1. Enter a survey title.
  2. Use the left-panel toolbox to add dropdowns, text fields, radio buttons, image pickers, and other question types.
  3. For each question, fill in both Name and Title. The Title appears in reports—e.g., instead of “Question 1: Facebook,” you’ll see “Where did you hear about us?: Facebook.”

  1. In this example, Question 1 uses a Radio Button Group. Ensure each choice has both Value and Label—this is essential for clear feedback reports.

  1. Open the Preview tab to see the survey as participants will view it.

  1. Click Publish after creating or editing the survey. The button will switch to Unpublish, and the Active For column will list the communities where it’s live.
  2. Copy the survey link to share; only members of the selected communities can open it. (Available for all survey types.)
  3. For Onboarding and Email surveys, you can also send the survey directly via Send Email.

  1. Copy the link, open it in a new tab to confirm the survey is active, then share it.

  1. When emailing the survey, choose your audience: all members, selected members, or only community instructors. In this example, I’m sending it to every member but limiting delivery to specific contacts.

  1. Testing an Onboarding Survey
  • Sign up with your community’s referral code; the survey appears right after signup.
  • Existing members will see it the next time they enter the lobby, so creating a new account is optional.
  • Users can skip the survey, but it will resurface every two weeks until completed.

Here’s how it will display during signup or on the next lobby visit:

  • Create a test event and link it to your survey (see Step 6).
  • Join the event, then leave.
  • After exiting, you’ll be redirected to the lobby, where the custom feedback survey is displayed instead of Televeda’s default feedback survey.
