❓ Frequently Asked Questions

The captions aren't appearing — what do I do?

Make sure your browser's sound is not muted and that the class video is actually playing. Try refreshing the page and checking that Live Caption is still turned on in your settings.

The captions look wrong or keep disappearing.

Live captions are generated in real time by your device, so occasional errors are normal. If they cut out frequently, check your internet connection.

I don't see the Accessibility option in my settings.

Try using the search bar inside your browser or phone Settings and type "captions" or "live caption" to find it quickly.

Can I make the caption text bigger?

Yes! In Chrome on a computer, after turning on Live Captions, click the small gear icon on the caption bar to adjust text size and colours. On iPhone, go to Settings → Accessibility → Live Captions to find display options.

Will captions work in languages other than English?

Chrome supports multiple languages for Live Caption. After enabling the feature, go back to Settings → Accessibility and look for language options. iPhone and Android also support additional languages in their device accessibility settings.
