Pre-Class Technical Check Guide

This guide will help you on how to properly Allow/Choose the camera and microphone available for you to use before entering the class.

When you click "Join Class" from the Lobby area, we have you enter a pre-class waiting area where we run an automated test for your internet speed & hardware. We want to make sure you have a great experience and can easily access your camera & microphone to actively participate with other members.

Note: You do not have to keep your camera on if you are uncomfortable and can toggle your camera off in this area (or even inside of the class). You can still participate with the group via audio or via chat inside of the class.

Browser Permissions

To create an accessible solution that does not require any software downloads we have created a web based application. To access your camera and microphone, you have to expressly consent to your browser's permission policies.

For Google Chrome Users:

A pop-out window will appear saying live.televeda.com wants to Use your microphone / Use your camera

Click Allow to continue or
Click Block to prevent access to your microphone and camera
Click X to close the pop-out window

Test your camera & microphone

A video feed display from your camera will help you fix the right angle for you.

Camera drop-down functionality

If you have multiple cameras/webcam attached to your device
Click the camera drop-down and choose the camera that you want to use

And if you only have a single camera/webcam available then it will be the default camera that will be enabled

Microphone drop-down functionality

If you have multiple microphones attached to your device
Click the microphone drop-down and choose the microphone that you want to use

And if you only have a single microphone available then it will be the default microphone that will be enabled

Turning Off/On your camera before entering the class

Click the slider next to the camera if you want to turn it OFF or turn it ON

Mute/Unmute your microphone before entering the class

Click the slider next to the microphone if you want to MUTE or UNMUTE

Connectivity Test Status

We highly recommend to wait for the Connectivity test to finish before Joining the class to ensure that you have a stable internet connection

You can still join a class with low internet speeds but you may experience some video or audio lag. Our team is also available to help assist you if you have any questions.

Join Class Button

With your devices selected and connectivity tested, clicking on the Join Class button will take you inside your event.
